Key Laboratory of Electronic Information Engineering Teaching

The Key Laboratory of Electronic Information Engineering Teaching was established in 2002 and passed the project acceptance in December 2004. As a practical teaching platform to cultivate undergraduates with distinctive professional characteristics of innovative practice, the Key Laboratory of Electronic Information Engineering Teaching is established with 13 labs, such as Modern Communication Lab, Digital Communication Principle Lab, Microcomputer Principle Lab, etc., focusing on the undergraduates of the School of Electronic Engineering as well as the students of related majors of the university. The laboratory curriculum is closely integrated with the assessment content and target needs of the core and main courses and practical teaching, to enhance students interactive learning on the theory and practice and to improve students' innovative practical skills. So that we can achieve the ultimate goal which is to cultivate electronic information engineering professionals with solid theoretical knowledge base, strong hands-on operation and professional design capabilities as well as excellent innovative and practical skills.

At present, the laboratory of the School of Electronic Engineering owns more than 10 rooms with a total area of more than 3,000 square meters, and more than 2,000 sets of special teaching instruments and equipment, including network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, high-frequency signal generator, comprehensive training platform for Internet of Things, He-Ne laser, helium-neon laser pattern analyzer, stripe projection three-dimensional shape measurement experimental system, variable temperature Hall effect meter, fast optical, color and electricity comprehensive measurement system, laser Raman spectrometer, digital oscilloscope, microwave spectrometer and other large high-end instruments. The laboratory equipment plays an important role in supporting the undergraduate practice teaching in the School of Electronic Engineering, as well as other innovative practice teaching activities like the graduation design, course design, production practice, various College Students' Innovative Entrepreneurial Training Plan Programs, National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition and Challenge Cup. Relying on the Key Laboratory of Electronic Information Engineering Teaching of SCAU of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, South China Agricultural University has won many national and provincial awards in the National College Students Electronic Design Competition, Guangdong College Students Electronic Design Competition, Challenge Cup and other scientific and technological activities over the years.
